The logical progression from the Panigale V4 was the Streetfighter V4, introduced in 2020 (the 2021 Dark Stealth V4S is pictured). Basically this is an unfaired Panigale rendered more comfortable for road use via more upright ergonomics. Its V-four still packs a massive punch; its claimed 208 horsepower arrives at 13,000 rpm, and its 90.4 lb-ft of torque at 9,500 rpm.

A dazzling appearance: the 100 Years model comes with a chrome design option involving many elegant chrome parts, such as hand and foot levers, handlebar clamps, front engine cover and mirrors. The Classic chrome paintwork sets exciting highlights. The paint-on-chrome method ensures a high-quality look. The white lines underscore its historic origin.

  • Kayaba rear shock, pre-load adjustable
  • Chain, front spocket 15, rear sprocket 46
  • Upside down Kayaba 41 mm fork
  • Straight cut gears, Ratio 1.85:1

  • L-Twin, Desmodromic distribution, 2 valves
  • Ducati Multimedia System, Ducati Quick Shift
  • Riding Mode, Power Mode, ABS Cornering
  • Kayaba rear shock, pre-load adjustable

The edition model embodies nostalgia, yet remains contemporary. The R 18 set off on its road trip as a modern interpretation of our historic motorcycles. The BMW R 18 100 Years sets the scene for the iconic components even more strikingly. Countless chrome parts reflect the sun as you cruise into the distance. The straight, chrome-plated Akrapovic rear silencer with integrated BMW Motorrad logo and the Oxblood red seat with a quilted look make it unique.

Overview

Within that “70% brand new” the 2023 Scrambler Icon is now 8.8 pounds lighter than the previous gen with five and a half of those el bees coming from the engine itself. What hasn’t changed in its performance is the air-cooled, yet Euro 5 compliant, Desmodue 803cc 90º V-Twin engine with its total of four desmodromically actuated valves.

A lighter clutch with eight plates versus the previous ten, a new gear drum, and thinner covers account for some of this weight loss, but we’re told the entire motorcycle has been gone through with a greasy fine tooth comb to shave weight everywhere, from the smaller battery, to the lighter wheels, Ducati shaved tenths throughout which add up to the nearly nine pounds shed.

The iconic color scheme makes it immediately clear where you come from and where you are heading: to the race track. Paired with the M Package, there is absolutely no doubt.

Super sporty and uncompromisingly compact. We have retained these basic design values of the RR. More than that, we have made them even sharper: from the front end with the aerodynamically optimized windscreen and the lights in striking LED design, to the side trim panels with winglet and the short and dynamic rear end. Plus the easily removable license plate carrier and optional tail-hump cover for the passenger seat prove that we have even focused the design of the RR on performance down to the last detail.

Ducati’s list of sought-after designs is long, but the 916 (released in 1994) and MH900e SportClassic (released in 2000) are just two fine examples of Italian motorcycle sex appeal and collectability. Even current models like the attainable Monster nakeds, the adventurous Multistradas and the MotoGP-inspired Desmosedici RR streetbike of 2006 are some of the most sought after.

The iconic boxer engine has been integrated even more seamlessly into this machine. That rich boxer sound emanating from the familiar twin-pipe exhaust is unmistakable. And to complete its retro look, this bike features round dials and a classic headlamp. The R 12 nineT is pure #SoulFuel. Modular design: perfect for customizing. With new Option 719 equipment, you can make your vision a reality.
